The cooler weather is spawning more pet events, which is great, but why do they all have to fall on during the same two weeks?!

Hike the trial with or without you pooch at Tails on the Trails 2012.
The Philly Dog has compiled a comprehensive list of some local pet events going on. But, don’t clear your calendar for a while…the first one isn’t until the 15th. And, after that, the rest of the month will be packed with goodies for you and your pets!
The 5th Annual PAWS event in Manayunk will have plenty of adoptable dogs, charity dog wash, a pet parade, and more! It goes down on Saturday, Sept 15th from 11 – 3 pm at Main and Levering Streets in Philadelphia.
Come to the 2nd annual Pottstown Pet Fair on Saturday, Sept. 22nd from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Smith Family Plaza (in front of Pottstown Borough Hall). There will be vendors and animal rescue groups to check out!
Then there’s the Pet-a-Palooza at the Henry on the Park Apartments on 7901 Henry Avenue in Philadelphia also on Saturday, September 22th, but this one’s from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Why not attend both? The event/fair will include rescue organizations, pet specialists, vendors and pet products vendors, plus contests and activities.
Learn about breed specific legislation (BSL) and how to fight it! PACT is sponsoring an all-day event from noon to 8 pm on September 23 at Penn Law School and International House on the Penn campus with a theme of “Punish the Deed, Not the Breed.” We will be showing the 90 minute documentary Beyond the Myth, created by Libby Sherrill, with a substantial portion of the film’s financing provided by PACT. Among our keynote speakers will be Dahlia Canes and James Cueva, Esquire.

It’s on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 11am-3pm at the Upper Merion Township Building Park, King of Prussia, PA. There will be plenty of vendors and rescues there!
