Ugh….so here I go again…just going to dive right in…
”You didn’t build that.” “Business owners owe their success to the government….somebody else made that happen….don’t think it’s because ‘I’m so smart’.” Holy shizzle he did not just say that!?!? I hope the Brawny man was available to clean up that s**t he let fly out of his mouth. Riddle me this El Presidente, don’t you owe YOUR success to the government? I mean, how else would a virtually unknown politician be sitting on the proverbial throne if not for the officials who cut through the red tape and bent some rules to get him there? I hope you sent them a Thank You card because you sure as hell didn’t get any help from me.
What made him verbally attack these citizens who pay his salary with such demeaning insults? People who may have even voted for him in 2008? For example, I am a Realtor and deal with the owners of the companies that build the homes we Americans live in. Did the government use their hands to construct our houses? Did the government take out construction loans or home equity loans so these families can keep their business above water for the next generation to come? The powers that be may hold the money, but they didn’t do the labor.
But to be fair and balanced (hint hint ;p), we have Mitt Romney who is selectively shielding his tax returns. Shady? You betcha. Should he do his damage control now? Absotively. But with all due respect, when comparing the elusiveness of both nominees, nothing can be as shady as the controversy 4 years ago that surrounded Obama when he was running for office. It makes me wonder if the Obama camp thinks that the voters will overlook the economy as the main issue in this election. If I shake the cobwebs loose, I seem to remember a promise he made to his “fellow American people” that if he didn’t fix the economy in the first 3 years of his presidency, you can call him “Former Mr. President.”
