bust a nutter

Mayor Nutter pimps Obama (duh), ousts Romney, points out the obvious…and the confusing

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter has the gift of gab, that's for sure. Here's just a few of the issues he tackled this week right from his second home...the podium.

Mayor Michael Nutter doing what he does best.

Mayor Nutter joined a couple of other dudes to launch a multi-million dollar project that will improve service at the 80-year-old Wayne Junction Substation in North Philadelphia. The other guys too the opportunity to talk about the actual project. Nutter was busy pimping out his main squeeze…President Barack Obama.

“President Barack Obama gets credit for fighting for these programs,” the king of brown-nosing said.

Nutter also eloquently called Presidential candidate Mitt Romney a fake and a joke and an apparently good actor. “The guy is a joke. He’s not for real. He’s a character playing a role and virtually perpetrating a fraud on the American people.”

There’s yet another issue with the new AVI system. The new assessments will be mailed out in February of 2013. Then, two weeks later, tax payments are due. But, the government won’t be asking for payments on the new assessments, rather the old ones. Ugh…confusing, right. Well, thankfully, Mayor Nutter picked up on that and warns of the pending trouble.

“The new assessments have nothing to do with the 2013 tax bill that property owners will be paying under the old system. We don’t want folks who are getting ready to pay their Tax Year 2013 bill to look at the new assessment that they will have just received, and then try to multiply that by the then-current millage rate,” he said.

He did not offer a solution for this…just gabbing about how he knows it’s confusing. Thanks for that.

Speaking of confusion, here’s what Nutter said while defending the homeless feeding ban: “It is not true that we don’t have adequate facilities for indoor food services,” he said.
