What is it about limited-time only offers that get us going? The fear that we’ll be missing out on something? The idea that other people will experience something that we cannot. The idea that it is something special because it won’t stick around forever? Well, whatever that reason happens to be, we fall for it. Over and over again.
And, now the sense of urgency to run out before the time limit is up has hit the culinary world…of Shake Shack.
Announced on the down low on their Facebook page, Shack Shackers were notified that their Shack Corn Dog and Blueberry Pie, Oh My Concrete were back. But, for three days only. Apparenlty, this is their M.O. They’ll offer the corn dog only three times a year – Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day — for three days each time and that’s it. Poof. Gone. Unavailable. Well, until the next holiday.
The Shack Corn Dog is a Vienna hot dog dipped in Shack-made corn batter, cooked golden brown & served with Rick’s Picks sweet corn relish and will set you back a meager $4.50. The Blueberry Pie, Oh My Concrete is vanilla frozen custard blended with a slice of seasonal blueberry pie. You can order a half size for $4.25 or a regular for $6.50.
So head on down to Shake Shack today through Thursday to get your Dog and Pie. I’ll bet it’ll taste better knowing you won’t be able to get them on Friday. Life’s funny that way.
