So, many, many years ago a group of dudes called the forefathers got together in secret to plan to tell Great Brittian to shove it. One of them wrote up something that he believed expressed all of the most important ideals so that they would be able to run independently from their current leaders. After it was written and approved the guys all signed it and the day they did became Independence Day…the fourth day of July. To honor those men and what they were able to do for the future of our country all American’s celebrate Independence Day. But, instead of remembering all of the bravery, courage, and determination those men exhibited to give us our freedoms, Independence Day has instead turned into a giant party where people gather, eat, drink, and spend hours waiting for night to fall to watch hundred dollar bombs go off in the sky. What would the forefathers think about that?
