Go tandem on the streets of Philadelphia with new bike rentals

Gah, you have a dirty mind. Tandem bikes along with old school surrey's and even segway's are now available for rent throughout Philly.

What could be more fun than this?

There’s a whole new way to see Philadelphia now. And this one could include fringe, tandem, and mostly two wheels. Wheel Fun Rentals, a nation-wide bike tour company, has planted their roots in three popular areas around the city.

  • Boathouse Row: located between Boathouse Row and Lloyd Hall in East Fairmont Park, you can enjoy a leisurely ride along the Skuylkill River.
  • Trolley Car Cafe: Head south from here and you’ll discover the Laurel Hill Cemetery, the Regatta Grandstands and Lemon Hill Masion.
  • LOVE Park: Spend a day experiencing all that city biking has to offer and discover downtown Philly’s beatutiful squares and diverse neighborhoods. See Effreth’s Alley, Franklin Square, Penn’s Landing, the Independence Mall and Liberty Bell easily on two wheels (or more).

The bike rentals include the traditional bike that you all know well. But, in addition to that they have a fleet of Surrey’s, the old school tandem and side-by-side bikes with a roof complete with fringe, tandem bikes for two or four, and the do-I-really-want-to-do-that Segway.

The group will send you out on your own with just some safety equipment and a map, or you can go all out and get a completely guided tour.
