In case you missed it: Phanatic gets sued (again), our bedbug woes, and happy trails

Don't get caught out of the loop. Here's a recap of our best stories from the week including another Phanatic lawsuit with injuries, our new title as worst for bedbugs, and a new outdoor trail.

Greys Ferry Crescent Trail on the Schuylkill.

We’re wondering exactly how the humongous, furry, garish Philly Phanatic will fit through the metal detectors of the courthouse when he appears to defend himself against yet another lawsuit. His prankster style has gotten him in hot water again, and one woman doesn’t plan on letting him off the hook for her laundry list of injuries.

Philadelphia is known for the best of things (cheesesteaks) and the worst of things (airports). We regularly post the next official list declaring the City of Brotherly Love as the best or worst. But, this latest list has us just plain creeped out. Terminix has Philly at the top of their list for most bedbug-infested city. Yuk. This list is based on the nationwide companies service calls. So, here’s a thought…stop calling Terminix for bedbug services. Can’t we find another reputable bedbug exterminator that won’t put us on blast for a pathetic PR stunt?

The latest installment of the Schuylkill River Trail is now open. Instead of overgrown, dead, grassy areas good for nothing, enjoy walking and biking trails, idyllic picnic spots, and another outdoor space that will have you one with nature.

We’ve also got a Jersey Shore day trip guide, how to get your pet spayed/neutered for free, and a review of KORN’s House of Blues concert,
