Is there one thing that you think is just plain wrong? The folks at Keep Philadelphia Beautiful (part of the national effort, Keep America Beautiful) want to know those pet peeves and are hoping that you’ll think that littering is wrong, too, for a new marketing campaign to support the anti-littering initiative.
Maybe it’s Pretzels with mustard, or tourists en route to your office, or panhandling in the park, or the many other millions of things you all gripe about all the time. “Littering Is Wrong, Too” is a national campaign that’s recently hit the streets of Philly to give a lighthearted spin on the consistent littering problem here and elsewhere.
The campaign, which runs until September, is asking for people to write there transgressions down, then photograph or video them, and send them to Keep Philadelphia Beautiful via Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or Twitter, using the hashtag #litteriswrong. Alternatively you can “Write your Wrong,” (get it) on the campaigns national website.
So far, most of them are sports related like “Being a Giants Fan”, “Marrying a Mets Fan”, and “Signing David Herndon.” So, let’s be a little more creative, Philadelphia.
Muscle tees with a beer gut. A hip-hop rapper wanna-be Mayor. Driving too close to the bike lane. A snowless winter. There’s got to be some more original content out there. So, get to it. Think of the worst thing that you encounter in the city and let them know.
Oh, and don’t throw your garbage on the ground, either. That’s just trashy…and wrong.
