‘Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition’ coming to Philly

“The Biggest Loser” might never deem it necessary to send its casting directors to Philadelphia — the closest, recent open call for contestants happened last summer in Newark, N.J. — but Philly folks who want to drop pounds still have a chance to audition in person for a reality weight-loss show.

That chance is coming very soon.

On Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition” will be at Dave and Buster’s at Penn’s Landing (325 N. Columbus Drive) meeting with potential “contestants.”

I put that in quotes because if you’ve seen the show, it’s not a competition but more of a documentary. “Subjects” would be more appropriate.
