Dirtbag Flyers fan arrested for role in post-game Winter Classic brawl

Dennis Viteri

Dennis Veteri, a 32-year-old Glassboro, N.J., resident, turned himself into police yesterday after being charged for his role in a fight outside Geno’s Steaks following the Winter Classic game between the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers.

According to a Star-Ledger report, Veteri is believed to have thrown the first punch in the brawl that injured Neal Auricchio, who is a 30-year-old police officer from Woodbridge, N.J.

Veteri was charged with two counts each of aggravated assault, conspiracy aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment. He posted $50,000 bail and was released, according to the report.

Earlier this week, the Rangers announced they would give Auricchio free tickets to an upcoming game.
