The Fountain Restaurant in Philly’s Logan Circle has made it to Forbes magazine’s list of top 10 restaurants in America for a power lunch.
Located at the Four Seasons Hotel, the Five-Star restaurant draws “a mash-up of medical elites, bankers and politicos,” Forbes said.
“The suits line up for the legendary all-crabmeat crab cakes, elegant ambiance and impeccable service,” the review said.
And suits they must be. The restaurant has a dress code, with jackets required for all male customers at dinner (and house blazers available to anyone who happens to show up in shirtsleeves). Yes, you need a reservation. And judging from the lack of a price list online, you probably can’t afford the tab, if you have to ask what it might be.
Further adding to formality of the venue, “it’s not uncommon to see an even number of men and women diners throughout the restaurant, as well as famous faces at tables near windows that overlook Ben Franklin Parkway,” Forbes noted.
So that’s where the elite are dining tonight – and not, oddly enough, at Dave and Buster’s, where you’re headed later.
